PLANNING PROBLEMS

I love organization.  I always loved going and buying school supplies at the beginning of the year, and having all my classes and school stuff sorted neatly into different folders and binders.  Ever since I can remember, this has been the case.  One way in which I still love organization, but don't currently have a method for, is planning.

UNDER THE BRIDGE

As I mentioned, I'm in Stuart again for the weekend (actually now for the week, or until Thursday, that is).  There are a lot of reasons why I like this little coastal town, but one of my favorite parts is the Roosevelt Bridge.

SUPER BOWL XLVIII

Note:  Totally forgot I had this post as a draft and just forgot to schedule it... FAIL.  But better late than never!!

MY SEAHAWKS WON THE SUPER BOWL!!!!!!  Please allow me to gush about this for the next 10 million years (read: the rest of this post, at least) because we 12s have been waiting for this FOREVER.  I cannot even begin to explain my love for this team, and the pride I have for Seattle and in being a part of the 12th Man.  Super Bowl Sunday this year will forever be one of the greatest days in Seattle history and it means a lot to me and to all Seattle sports fans that we can say that.

STUART, ROUND 2

Remember how I posted about Stuart, the small town north of West Palm Beach?  Remember how I said I wasn't sure how much I was going to like it at first, but then ended up really enjoying it?  Well, I guess I kind of love it because not only did we go back for an impromptu visit last weekend, but we're also going again this weekend!  Sorry Stuart, I guess we can't get enough of you and all your awesomeness.

VALENTINE THOUGHTS

I think that Valentine's Day is inaptly named for what it actually means to represent.  The term "Valentine" is derived from Saint Valentine, who most people associate with love in a relationship with a significant other.  While yeah, of course V-Day is a day for appreciating that special someone, it's also a day to appreciate the love shared with your family, friends, pets, etc.  I think that Valentine's Day ought to be called Love Appreciation Day in order to more accurately reflect the day's meaning.

VALENTINE'S MASQUERADE

In my last post, I mentioned how while I was in Stuart, I attended a masquerade.  Well, my mom's friend's daughter was throwing a masquerade party while we were in town, and we were invited to join in on the fun.  It was a pre-Valentine party and couldn't have been more fun, to be quite honest!  I went to the party not knowing anyone except Morgan, the hostess, who I'd only met the day before.  But I walked out of that party (or rather went to sleep as I was staying at the house) having met tons of people and making quite a few new friends.

WELCOME TO FLORIDA

Well, I made it to Florida!  The time from after Jerry Springer ended to the day of my departure absolutely flew by in a flash.  A LOT happened in that week or so, not least of all the SUPER BOWL!!!  But that's another story.  I digress...

HOORAY I'M POOR

I bought a new computer!  Brand spankin' new Macbook Pro with Retina Display (whatever that means... it looks AMAZING you guys, oh my gosh I can't get over the clarity of my screen).  I may be $$$$ in the hole now but it was a necessary purchase.  I mean, look how pretty!  And useful.  Yeah, it's useful, too.

No, but for reals, I am having so much fun editing photos for the next blog post.  Image display WIN.

UPDATE:  The image here does NOT look nearly as nice as it really is.. I blame Blogger.  I've had this problem before.  >:(

COMPUTER CRISIS

Okay, so I was really excited and proud of myself because I had a bunch of freshly edited photos in neatly organized little folders on my computer for a nice handful of posts that I was ready to write and queue up... And then my computer died.  And guys, I mean it died for good.  My sturdy old MacBook went to sleep and never woke up.  I took it to the Apple store and the log and short of it is that I need a new computer.  So no posts for a few days at least.  I'm leaving for Florida on Tuesday, and I'm hoping to order a new computer and have it shipped there so I can be up and running on the internets again in a week or so.  But until then, I am computer-less.  The good news is that they can take the hard drive from my old computer and transfer it to a new one so I still have all my photos and documents!  So there's that.

Also, fun fact, apparently my old computer is old enough to officially be classified as "vintage".   (Does that mean it's worth money because, uh, I gots a new computer to buy over here...)
