STRIPES MAKE ME FEEL LIKE A FRENCH MIME

Top: ZARA / Jeans: Delias / Booties: Shoedazzle

This past week has been quite a rollercoaster.  Super busy juggling work, school, and my internship, as well as trying to use the gym on a semi-regular basis to prep for summer (because I am going to be bikini ready this year, goddamnit), and have some semblance, however pitiful it may be, of a social life.  After all that, we can forget about basic human needs like food, sleep, hygiene (don't even get me started on laundry).  UGH.  But, the plus side is that the snow has finally melted away and the days have been getting a little bit sunnier, so hopefully spring is actually close by.  And only five more weeks of school, then I'm done!  Done, done, done.  For good.  Or at least, until grad school.  But I can't look that far ahead or I may explode.

If you are interested in keeping up with me to see if I do or do not explode in the future (or whatever other reasons, I dunno, maybe you think I'm ridiculous and have a laugh whenever you reach this page, in which case, glad I could help exercise your kidneyd), make sure to follow the blog on Bloglovin'.  As you may have heard, Google Friend Connect (GFC) is shutting down, so you'll have to resort to other means to follow your favorite blogs.  I use Bloglovin', and love it.  They have a free app for your phone and everything, so it's more convenient than is probably healthy.

This post is a part of the Bloggers Do It Better link-up over on Pretty Shiny Sparkly.

in the jungle, the mighty jungle, the lion sleeps toniiiiiiight

Pants: Primark / Sweater: F21 / Watch: Windsor / Flats: Nordstrom / Bag: Marc by Marc Jacobs / Glasses: Walmart

A-wimoweh, a-wimoweh, a-wimoweh....

Every time I wear these pants, I think of this song.  And then it's stuck in the back of my head through the entire day because I just so happen to be wearing a constant reminder of this song, which I don't even know all the lyrics to.  It doesn't help that I'm wearing a forest green sweater, either.  Well, hi-ho {hi-ho it's off to work we go} I guess.  Man, I'm all about the Disney today.

Hey, guess what?  Animal print just so happens to be the Trend of the Month challenge over on Marion's blog, Marionberry Style.  So go check out how all the others are wearing it, and see what you think.  Plenty of inspiration over there from some pretty stylish gals.

P.S.  I also linked up over at The Pleated Poppy and Real Girl Glam because there were simply too many other fabulous looks to draw inspiration from.  Go check them out for yourself, eh?

i call this my carmen sandiego look

Sweater: Nordstrom / Jeggings: AE / Boots: Steve Madden / Hat: H&M / Scarf: Camden market / Bag: AE / Watch: Windsor

I couldn't decide for like five minutes if the Sandiego in "Carmen Sandiego" was one word or two.  Problems.

Anyways, I just got this hat at H&M yesterday and I love it!  The color, the little gold leaves dangling off it, how European I feel when I wear it, and just the wonderful Carmen Sandiego-ness of it all.

This look is a part of the Bloggers Do It Better challenge series - this time around the challenge is to style the color "oxblood".  It's a major fall color, and while not particularly appealing so far as the name, it's actually a really gorgeous deep red with just a touch of brown.

You can check out how everybody else is wearing oxblood this fall by going here and checking out the link up!

what's on your feet?

It's another vlog link-up!  And all about shoes!  Love.  Check it out, check out the other, and leave a comment with your own if you decide to make one too!  {You really should, because I would totally be all over that vid like a monkey over a banana... or something.  But I wanna see them.  So do it.}
You can see last month's vlog link up here.

candididity

Top: borrowed from my sister / Shorts: Nordstrom BP

Candididity {is that as awkward to read or say as it is to spell?  Spelling it took a while, let me tell you.} - the candidness of a photo.  Point being that the more candid a photo. the higher the candididity factor, and often the better the photo.  Made up words are my specialty.

So tomorrow the sis and I are piling into the car andstarting the two day road trip to San Francisco!  You can expect that I will be Instagram-ing away, and I will definitely be updating the blog at least a couple times, provided I can get decent internet.

This outfit was with pattern mixing in mind, as it's my entry for the Trend of the Month challenge.  I love doing these challenges because it makes me look at my wardrobe in a different way.  For example, last month when the colored blazer challenge was posted, I realized I didn't actually own a colored blazer {!}.  Surprising, since I love them!  This time around, I actually took {literally} some inspiration from my sister's closet in the form of this polka dot top.  I might have to steal it more often...

minty fresh {...too cliche?}

Top: Unknown / Jeans: H&M / Shoes: Aldo {DIY soles} / Clutch: Chicwish

Yep, I thought so.

Anywhooo...  This post is for the Bloggers Do It Better challenge.  This time around is mint and coral.  As you might be able to tell, I'm obsessed with mint, so that was a no-brainer.  The coral was a little harder because, alas, I realized I didn't actually have a lot of coral stuff in my wardrobe {shocking}.  But then, I came across this pretty lil' top and voila!

Instant awesome.
Because this baby's got coral and mint and florals!
That's three whole trends.

Pretty productive lil' top.

P.S.  These shoes are another DIY project, using the same process as this DIY project.  I really love how the mint looks on the soles!

what's in my closet

Hey hey, lookie here!  My first Vlog!

I decided to participate in a little link-up where various bloggers create videos showing what's in their closets.  I personally love organizing my clothes and accessories, so to be able to share the ways I like to do it, and to see how other people go about putting together their closets, was really fun for me to do.

{Disclaimer: Please excuse the crappy quality that makes me sound like I have a lisp.}
