A BELATED THANKS GIVING

I'm going to make this somewhat brief and to the point, because I'll have a whole mass of photos and a summary of my long holiday weekend with the family in Canada once I'm back home on Monday (oh yeah, did I mention I was going to Canada for a ski-cation?  If you keep up on Instagram, you'll have seen my many snapshots thus far.  :p).

LEAVENWORTH

If a gingerbread village were to exist in real life for real people to walk about in, it would be Leavenworth, WA.  Shockingly, and quite unfortunately, I had never really spent a proper amount of time in Leavenworth.  The only times I had been was whilst passing through on the way to and from visiting my cousins in the mountains.  But today, Carmen and I made a spur of the the moment road trip and drove the 2+ hours to this central Washington town.

WEE LITTLE WISH LIST

I'm going to keep this short and sweet and just put out there a wish list of things for the impending yuletide celebrating in just over a month (so soon!).  So friends, Romans, countrymen... or I suppose more like sister, parents, grandparents, here are a few ideas.

THE ULTIMATE FLASHBACK (and it's not even thursday)

Whilst unpacking the new place (yes, still), I came across an old camera, and took a stroll down memory lane.  That stroll led me to these beauties and I about died laughing for a good 20 minutes.  There are no words.   Just these two amazing pictures of me and family members circa 17/18 years old.  They are too amazing not to be shared with the world.

THE TRUTHS OF THIS MOMENT

I haven't changed out of my fleece onesie yet.  It's noon on a Thursday, I woke up four hours ago, and all I've done is had coffee and breakfast whilst watching New Girl on Netflix on the couch in my footie pajamas.  This is the life of an unemployed, 23-year old theatre person with $12.50 to her name.  I mean, I suppose we can look on the bright side and at least be admiring of the facts that I was able to wake up at a reasonable hour, actually make breakfast/coffee, and the day isn't completely wasted because it is still only noon.

FRIGHT NIGHT

So this past Thursday was Halloween, and as I have mentioned, it was fairly low key because I essentially celebrated my Halloween in a big way quite early this year at the Globe's end of season party!

SETTLING IN, HALLOWEEN, AND A DOG PARK

Well, I've been back in Seattle for a week now, and it's been a week full of seeing friends and family, unpacking from abroad, and unpacking/settling into the new flat we're in.  It was a bit of an odd thought to know that when I came back to Seattle, I wouldn't be moving back into the family home.  The house got sold, and my dad and sister moved into this new flat on Alki Beach literally two days before I arrived, so it's been a whirlwind of boxes and furniture and my suitcases.  Despite it being absolutely mad, I was and am kind of happy about coming back to a new place.
