BASTILLE IN MIAMI

This past week, I was down in Miami to see Bastille play at The Filmore Miami Beach.  The gig was amazing, as I expected.  I became a massive fan of Bastille whilst studying in London nearly two years ago now (holy crap, that went by quickly...), and when I came back from my most recent London living experience last fall, I discovered that apparently they became popular in America while I was abroad.  So of course I jumped on the opportunity to go south and see them in Miami.  Fortunately, a friend of mine and one of her friends were both able to join me.

The gig was incredible.  Bastille are great live, and the opening band, called Wolf Gang, were good as well.  One of the perks of being tall is that I have no issues seeing over people in a general admission arrangement, which this was.  Towards the end of the concert, Dan, the lead singer, did a walk through the house of the theatre, which led to many people rushing back to get near him, and therefore I was able to move even farther forward.  I actually ended up crossing to the other side of the stage, and found out that the members of Wolf Gang were all standing there watching the show after several girls in the audience around me asked for pictures with these random guys.  I tapped one on the shoulder and asked who they were, and he said the opening band, and I was like ohhhhh, now I get it.  All in all, top night!
