See you probably thought I was going to tell you a really interesting story about where the name came from, but the truth is that I don't know. Rather, I still don't know, even after going on the Tower of London tour led by, you guessed it, a beefeater. And even he didn't know where the name came from. SO...
One of life's great mysteries I suppose.
That third picture there is my pretty new ring from the Jewel Shop at the Tower of London. Quite sparkly and pretty. Which is obviously why I chose it.
